The Peninsula Plodders Running and Triathlon club is a club of approximately sixty enthusiastic and active members. The club provides support, coaching, and encouragement to athletes at various levels. Whether you are a novice or an advanced athelete, our club has members at your level.
Our club members participate in local races, including the Front Runner's Island Race Series, the Royal Victoria Marathon Festival of Running, the Times Colonist 10k, and many other events hosted in the Capital Region and Island Communities.
We also have an active group of members training for triathlons. These triathlons include all distances, from sprint, to Olympic, to Ironman. Some of these triathlons include the Sooke Spring Sprint, The Self-Transcendence Triathlon and Duathlon at Elk Lake in August, LifeSport West Coast Subaru Half-Ironman Triathlon Series, and Subaru Ironman Canada.
Participation in races is not limited to local venues; some of our more enthusiastic members travel far and wide to participate in races abroad, including fun relays to international events.
We are getting ready for an early spring run around Elk and Beaver Lake (our usual Sunday run location)
